Renowned and award-winning film director Vipin Agnihotri has issued a strong and responsible statement addressing recent public discussions and concerns surrounding criminal elements such as Lawrence Bishnoi, emphasizing the need for justice, social awareness, and the rule of law. Vipin Agnihotri said: “Crime and violence, in any form, have no place in a civilised society. Individuals or groups who promote fear, intimidation, or criminal ideology must be dealt with strictly through the legal system. As citizens, and especially as public figures, it is our duty not to sensationalise or glorify criminality, but to reinforce faith in justice, law enforcement, and social reform.”
He further added: “Cinema has a powerful influence on society. Storytelling should be responsible, rooted in truth, and aligned with values that encourage peace, accountability, and progress. Violence should never be romanticised, and criminals should never be projected as icons.”
Vipin Agnihotri urged the youth to remain vigilant against negative influences and to draw inspiration from constructive role models rather than fear-driven narratives. “India’s strength lies in its institutions, its people, and its belief in justice. We must stand united against crime and support lawful processes that ensure safety and harmony.”
